The Damned World

Fairytale never exists..

"So Close, So Far"

I wake up all alone, somewhere unfamiliar
I've been gone so many days, I'm losing count
And when I think of home, I see your face
I know I have to wait

We're so close, yet so far
it's tearing me apart
What I would do to be there with you
So close, yet so far
it's tearing me apart
What I would do to be back with you

I miss hearing your laughter
And all the little things
Forgotten what it's like to hold you
Cause where I am right now so unforgiving
it's numbing everything

We're so close, yet so far
it's tearing me apart
What I would do to be there with you
So close, yet so far
it's tearing me apart
What I would do to be back with you

So promise
No matter how long it takes for me
To get back to you
you'll wait for me
I promise
No matter how far away I go
I'll come back for you
Just wait and see

I miss being at home
I miss your face
don't think I can wait

We’re so close, yet so far
it's tearing me apart
What I would do to be there with you
So close, yet so far
it's tearing me apart
What I would do to be back with you

I promise
it's tearing me apart
No matter how far away I go
I'll come back for you
I promise
it's tearing me apart
What I would do
What I would do
What I would do to be there with you

"Nobody's Home"

I couldn't tell you why she felt that way,
She felt it everyday.
And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes again.

What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

Open your eyes and look outside, find the reasons why.
You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.
Be strong, be strong now.
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

Her feelings she hides.
Her dreams she can't find.
She's losing her mind.
She's fallen behind.
She can't find her place.
She's losing her faith.
She's fallen from grace.
She's all over the place.
Yeah,oh

She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh yeah
She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh yeah

I have to admit I am a light sleeper. Simple things can really give me the best awake stimulant. A couple of things apparently. One of it was my multi-socket plug fell apart. I could have bought a new one. But thinking of going to the stalls specifically just to get one, makes it kind of wasting time. So therefore I decided to dismantle it with my screw driver and see what is wrong inside causing the switches to go cranky.

It was not easy. After removing the screws, the moment I opened it up, all the small parts and bits of metal fell out before I can remember where they are supposed to be. The problem of the switches was just a small misplacement of a part. But the process to fix it was tedious. The bits that fell out had nothing to do with the switch problem but I have to figure out how to put them back as well. Fortunately, I managed to put them all back in and still get it to work. Took me about 30 minutes.

Another problem was way more difficult. There were some similarities with the multi-socket plug though. It started with one small switch. And when I attempted to open it, everything fell apart. The difference is, I can’t replace the parts back in. It appeared that the damages were old wounds. And I somehow believe it was beyond my level to repair them. I felt so useless. And because of that, sleeping is not going to be an easy task. Because no matter which direction it goes, I am sure things are already damaged and I already know next...

Hope was lost once but things still were difficult. I witnessed some others, so naturally, so simply, so easily and so happily. But why is it never like that in my life? I merely did not tell the problem fast enough leading to this adversity.

Alright.. I am wondering away.. Pointless to rant. I guessed it is just my life right?

Cheers to the damned

Lovely evening view :)

I have been writing a new chapter for my story lately. Something that would take everything to a brand new direction, deviating from my lifestyle. This new chapter is to end the battle between me and my biggest menace once and for all.

Ever since the previous episode, things strayed off course and ended fruitlessly. However, that episode had been buried deep away but there is still a menace to jostle. Combating was tiresome and relentless. Although so far I survived, every battle was a near death experience. This chapter was drafted to purge the menace completely.

Though many of my peers are doing this, it is completely foreign to me as I have never experience before. It is quite a big decision. There are of course things that I dwell on. Things that I don't want to leave. But if I don't do this soon, I might end up in serious troubles. So I guess sacrifices are necessary.

However whether or not I am able to publish, is still unknown. Everything would have to be executed after my exams.

Something that inspired me to proceed:
"If you dwell on what you've left behind, you will never be able to focus on what lies ahead"

I really hope that things will go smoothly. Best of luck to me.

Update to an earlier post in February : Alice in Wonderland

An extended version for the Royal Premiere.

Are you looking for ways to improve your relationship with your spouse? Here are a few healthy habits of happy couples, according to the Times of India.

#1 Go to bed at the same time

Remember the early days of your relationship when you couldn’t wait to get into bed with each other to make love? Happy couples resist the temptation to go to bed at different times. They go to bed at the same time, even if one wakes up later to do things while their partner sleeps.

#2 Cultivate common interests

After the passion simmers, it is common to realise that you have few interests in common. Try to home in on those common interests and do things together and enjoy each other's company at the same time. Don’t underestimate the importance of couple activities, however few they are.
If common interests are absent, happy couples take time to develop them. But be sure to cultivate interests of your own; this will make you more interesting to your mate and prevent you from appearing too dependent.

#3 Walk hand in hand or side by side

Rather than one partner lagging or dragging behind the other, happy couples walk comfortably hand in hand or side by side. They know it’s more important to be with their partner than to see the sights along the way.

#4 Make trust and forgiveness a default mode

Whenever there is a misunderstanding or when two cannot agree on an issue, do you bear grudges and build up ammunition against each other?
Refrain from doing that as it only makes solving problems difficult.
If a disagreement or an argument cannot be resolved, happy couples default to trusting and forgiving and reset the relationship from there, instead of keeping count of faults.

#5 Focus more on what your partner does right than what he or she does wrong

If you look for things your partner does wrong, you can always find something. If you look for what he or she does right, you can always find something, too. It all depends on what you want to look out for and focus on. Happy couples accentuate the positive and affirm that in each other.

#6 Hug each other as soon as you see each other after work

Our skin has a memory of “good touch” (loved), “bad touch” (abused) and “no touch” (neglected).
Couples who say hello with a hug keep their skin bathed in the “good touch” can inoculate your spirit against anonymity in the world. One is reassured of love and belonging.

#7 Say “I love you” and “Have a good day” every morning

This is a great way to buy some patience and tolerance as each partner sets out each day to battle traffic jams, long lines and other annoyances.

#8 Say “Good night” every night, regardless of how you feel

This tells your partner that, regardless of how upset you are with him or her, you still want to be in the relationship. It says that what you and your partner have is bigger than any single upsetting incident.

#9 Do a “weather” check during the day

Call your partner at home or at work to see how his or her day is going. This is a great way to adjust expectations so that you’re more in sync when you connect after work. For instance, if your partner is having a lousy day, it might be unreasonable to expect him or her to be enthusiastic about something good that happened to you.

#10 Be proud to be seen with your partner

Happy couples are pleased to be seen together and are often in some kind of affectionate contact - hand on hand or hand on shoulder or back. They are not showing off but rather just saying that they belong with each other.
The worst thing to do is to forget to introduce your partner when you bump into a friend or colleague when you're out about town. This sends the wrong signal to your partner that he is not your significant other and you are embarrassed to show him or her off to others.

Happy couples have different habits than unhappy couples.

A habit is a discrete behaviour that you do automatically and that takes little effort to maintain. All it takes is 21 days of daily repetition of a new behaviour so that it becomes a habit. So select one of the behaviours in the list above to work on proactively for 21 days to cultivate a habit that will make you happier as a couple.

And if you fall off the wagon, don’t despair, just apologise to your partner, ask their forgiveness and recommit yourself to getting back in the habit.
