The Damned World

Fairytale never exists..

Terminator. It is an event just knowing that it is released in the theaters. I had been a terminator fan for many years. The annoying thing is that the sequels always take a long time to produce.

Terminator is special because the first film was released in the year I was born. But it only came to my attention when it was broadcast on television. I think the first one that I watched was Judgement day, the 2nd Terminator film.

The gap between the 1st and the 2nd was 7 whole years. And the 2nd to 3rd was around 12 years!

Being a boy close to John Connor's age in the 2nd movie when I was watching, Arnold Schwarzenegger has portrayed a fatherly image for John. Together with Sarah Connor, they seemed to be a wonderful family. Imagine if you have a father like that who is virtually indestructible and a strong mother who couldn't care less for you.

Terminator films are well known of their demands for your adrenaline. They always keeps you at the edge of your seat. The intense and exciting plot never fails in any of their films. I am delighted to say that though they took the story to a new direction in the current Terminator Salvation and after so many years passed since the first, they still got the edge. Terminator Salvation kept me intrigued and my heart racing throughout the entire film.

Apart from the action they do have a faint surprise. I do feel that the limelight of the film was more over Sam Worthington rather than Christian Bale. The absence of Arnold certainly did not compromise the spunk of the movie. Anyway wait till you see his replacement!

This blockbuster is sure worth it to watch. I think it deserves a 9 out of 10. Don't let that sets you an extraordinary high expectation of the movie though. But if given a choice, I wouldn't mind watching it again in the cinemas. You may want to start leaving the theater when the credits begin. Don't bother to stay till the back hoping for a clip.

Also known as "The Conspiracy" showing in the cinemas right now. The plot is based on a simple idea of computers became self aware and acted on their own, making ideas, think and plan. Resembles very much like another movie entitled "Eagle Eye".

The progression were very similar. At first someone was communicating with the leading actor and you thought it was by some secret organization. Then later we realize that it was the doings of a computer manipulating humans. Towards the ending they just try to shut her down.

This movie featured some models of futuristic phones by Nokia. There were some appearances of normal Blackberries as well. However I don't think that the phone will look like that when it is finalized and release in the market.

This movie does have some awkward points that changes abruptly. I would rate this movie 7 out of 10. Worth the money to watch between Mondays to Wednesdays to liven your early week.

Congratulations Singapore!! Unfortunately that is. We've got our first Swine here(excluding the people who have been a real Swine all their life). Pray hard everything is under controlled.

The patient is currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and is in stable condition.

The patient is a 22—year—old Singaporean woman who was in New York from May 14—24.

She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 on 26 May at 6.30am.

She began to develop a cough while onboard.

She passed the thermal scanner uneventfully as she did not have fever then.

Later in the morning, she consulted a GP who decided to send her to TTSH via a 993 ambulance, given her travel history.

She was immediately admitted for testing. Laboratory confirmation of her infection was made by midnight of 26 May.

The patient has been vigilant in monitoring her own condition and had sought immediate medical attention once she realized that she was unwell.

Her attending GP, through his quick response in activating the 993 ambulance for the patient, had also helped to minimize the spread of infection from this case.

The Health Ministry says it has initiated contact tracing of her close contacts. They will be quarantined and provided with antiviral prophylaxis.

Passengers who had travelled in the same flight and were seated in rows 52 to 58 are urged to call the hotline at 1800—333 9999 to enable the MOH to check on their health condition.

The MOH adds that all medical practitioners and healthcare institutions should continue to be vigilant to suspect cases.

Singapore will continue with temperature screening for passengers entering Singapore at all checkpoints (land, sea and air).

All passengers passing through or entering Singapore are given Health Alert Notices on board their flights, advising them to monitor their own health if they have been to affected areas and to seek medical attention immediately if they are not well.

Well yes, the exams are over and this posting is basically to lay in a few thoughts. Btw I had seen my naked blonde angels. There were clouds, SUN, boozes, candies and the angels were suntanning while reading books. Unfortunately they were "Do not touch" displays and because of my overly gluttony of the boozes, my rash allergy returned strong. Thus I forbid myself from any alcohol drinks for the moment. Ideally that is.

Now that I am reprieved, there are really some things I need to adjust and remodel my life. Many things had happened just before the exams which lead me to reconsider many things. It is hard to elaborate so I guess I am keeping it to myself about the events that happened. Not that many people are interested anyway.

Two months or more of loitering around textbooks and notes had taken a toll on me mentally and physically. Some people already noticed that and had kindly brought them to my attention. Thank you very much. I will work on those.

The weather is still merciless. The heat is simply intense and brutal. A nice cooling and refreshing bath will take me nowhere. By the time I stepped out of by house to go out, I was already sweating profusely as if I forgot to use my towel after my bath earlier.

Certain things are simply meaningless at home at the moment. Things like the water heater for bathing and my blanket.

Over at Australia however things were the other way round. My friend said that it was thunderstorm almost all day and that made going out very "scary" and she has to stay at home. Oh man how long since we last have a decent thunderstorm here? I gladly trade places with her.

I am looking forward to next month as I heard there will be new phones launching in the market. Mine is a little old already and touchscreen has become a bit of nuisance to me. I would like to get something more conventional, small and mainstream. I definitely would like a good cam on it. I was looking at nokia but their camera sound never seems to be able to turn off. The Sony Ericsson W995i kind of captured my attention. However I still will compare prices to see if it deserves my possession. Phones with similar functions includes the Nokia N86, Samsung Omnia HD.

I am granting myself a week of free time and hopefully get a holiday temporary job to get some spare bucks. And lastly, it is lovely not to have to be chained to the study desk!! You certainly no need redbull to have wings, just know what does not constraint them.

It is finally coming.... I dream of it almost everyday... 21 May 2009... Resuming my life... And some modifications and adjustments to invoke.....

oh dear me.. The first day ended in a devastating disaster. It was tougher than i thought by half. And then there were other problems besides the paper.

Noobs that didn't know that student number and seat number were different and that they were supposed to check for their seat number. Then we have the temperature checking that took years for all the students to get through the narrow path. I got a rocking table and i mean the legs weren't equal in length.

Again i got another disappointing paper. Everything was evolving into a phobia towards exams but i know i got to block that out at all cost as there were tons coming, not to mention the high probability of re-coming, if you know what i mean.

Today's paper was no difference to using a fishing line for bungee. Oh my god why was it that difficult.

I left the hall with Azri whose hair and complexion was completely different before the paper. Besides cursing and swearing, there was really nothing else he can say. So you could say how things went for him.

Tragic.

Alright.. The time has come.. Tomorrow it begins... The very first paper.. This will drag on for 2 weeks.. Say my prayers.. keep myself calm.. Put on my exam attire.. Prepare my jacket.. Bringing my watch.. Hydrate myself.. Coffee coffee coffee.. Chicken Essence.. All for it.. Let it rock

Certainly not the speed I got to see everyday. But this thrilled me when I saw it. I think there was another time it hit 800+ kb/s.

Wait till the fibre optics technology is complete..
