The Damned World

Fairytale never exists..

Chinese New Year came and left. This year's CNY wasn't exactly festive. In fact, ever since I gotten myself into this school, Chinese New Year has turned less of a festive celebration but more to a warning. Simply because after CNY, comes the "war".

Life is going to be miserable here on. When I said war, I meant prelims and finals. We all know the infamous difficulty of the UOL examinations. It is tough for a simple point; it weights 100% per paper. Meaning the finals determines if you pass, or fail. So if you aren't feeling well on that day or you are not at your best condition, you are screwed. In the event you fail, you have to repeat the whole damn entire year and pay your school fees, exam fees, go through the same books, see your same lecturers, etcetera.

In this school, constrained to the London semester, after CNY comes the prelims followed by revision classes by London lecturers as well as your local familiar ones. They will be going through your syllabus and comment on the prelims. After all of that, the horrific finals are next.

I know my exam time table already. It is going to be tough even before I get there. Because, unfortunately, I have a day with 2 papers squeezed together. One paper in the morning and another in the afternoon. And they are both very condensed modules. And another paper the following day. No breather. This is really depressing and taxing.

As so, CNY has really lost it's magic. Probably until the day I leave this school, CNY's magic isn't here.
